While RAW Photographic Studio is an extremely well-equipped, modern, production studio for both still photography and video, its greatest asset is not the space or gear but the community it literally and figuratively houses. We pride ourselves on the notion of colleagues versus competition, and constantly strive to empower and uplift one another. Whether you’re an owner, resident, or hourly renter, you are welcomed with open arms and privy to the vast array of knowledge and resources of the collective community.

Diversity is a key element of the environment at RAW and we are extremely proud and grateful to be a creative hub for artists and creators of all levels and backgrounds, from hobbyists seeking to hone their craft to high-level professionals producing imagery and video for international brands. Though we’re based in Denver, Colorado, we are a destination for professionals hailing from Los Angeles, Miami, New York, and beyond. From newborn and maternity to fashion and editorial, boudoir and intimate to family and lifestyle, glamour and beauty to product and portraiture; on any given day, you will find passionate photographers and videographers creating across the gamut of niche and genre, here at the studio.

It’s also worth noting that we are a creative nucleus for far more than just photographers and videographers, we also represent an impassioned network of brilliant allied creative professionals such as hair stylists, makeup artists, fashion designers, wardrobe stylists, prop makers, jewelry designers, and the like. It’s incredible, to have such a strong and varied network to tap into. Between the studio itself and affiliated nexus of allied creatives, the sky is the limit in terms of creative potential here at RAW.

As a community, we firmly believe that knowledge is power and strive to create an open forum where everyone is encouraged and inspired to learn, share, and grow. It’s not unusual to see owners helping map out lighting setups for hourly renters or resident photographers coming in on their days off to assist one another on shoots. We’ve methodically curated our crew and have been fortunate enough to build a team of talented individuals that share a core set of ideals grounded in humility and centered around the notion that when one person succeeds everyone succeeds. Additionally, we regularly host workshops and seminars on a wide variety of topics from art to business.  

Furthermore, we draw an immense amount of inspiration from our location in Denver, Colorado. The art scene here in Denver is expanding in new and exciting ways on a daily basis and we are lucky enough to have some of the best artists in the nation right here in our backyard. Our community extends far beyond the walls of our physical space. We love nothing more than supporting the local scene and championing those in the community who are using their art to raise awareness and create positive change in the world.

Though we are all artists, and love nothing more than to talk shop, share techniques, and experiment with new approaches, we are also entrepreneurs, consultants, designers, and developers. In addition to bolstering technical proficiency and expanding artistic vision, we are wholly committed to helping one another create and refine successful, sustainable businesses.
